Volunteer Training: Ages 14 to 18

Saturday, September 82:00—4:00 PMTeen SpaceTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

We are looking for independent teens to volunteer as shelvers on a weekly or bi-weekly basis! Are you looking for community service hour? Do you want to be a library volunteer? Then come to this volunteer training day!

Teens will be trained on our shelving procedures, how books are organized throughout the different areas of the library and volunteer policies. This training does take the full two hours so teens are expected to arrive on-time and ready to learn. Snacks and waters will be provided. All teens who participate will receive community service hours. Teens who actively participate in the entire training, can communicate with staff, show an attention to detail, and pass the shelving test will be eligible to become volunteers at the library! Training days are offered multiple times a year (typically every 3-4 months) when we are looking to fill volunteer positions.

Teens, if you have questions about becoming a volunteer, please direct them to Aimee before the training. Questions about other volunteer opportunities available for teens can also be answered by Aimee.

Registration for this event has now closed.
