In his first Inaugural Address with the nation in the depths of the Great Depression, FDR promised “action, and action now.” Explore how Roosevelt’s New Deal, introduced 90 years ago this month, touched virtually every aspect of American economic life and forever changed the role of the federal government in the lives of Americans. See the "periodic table" of the New Deal; political cartoons of the era; letters to the President and Mrs. Roosevelt; Civilian Conservation Corps brochures; and pictures of infrastructure created by the New Deal programs. Led by Jeffrey Urbin, Education Specialist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
