Learn how to makeover your garden. Following a brief discussion of the features of wild landscapes fundamental to naturalistic landscape design, garden consultant Deborah Chud takes you inside her process of reimagination. The modest scale of the plantings she reimagines makes them relevant to most people’s garden dilemmas. The concepts & strategies she presents have practical applications, and cover a range of garden situations. Chud is a retired Massachusetts physician turned garden maker, consultant, and educator, who specializes in coaching home gardeners. Her years of research on the world’s most famous New Perennial gardens (including New York’s High Line, Chicago’s Lurie Garden, the Oudolf Meadow at Delaware Botanic Garden, and Oudolf Garden Detroit) have generated a unique database of New Perennial plant combinations and fostered the creation of her own highly unusual New Perennial garden. Deborah’s garden has become a “must see” for garden clubs & green organizations as well as a source of data for a study of pollinator activity by Professor Richard Primack of Boston University.
