Humans can see only a sliver of the full spectrum of light that governs life on Earth and everything in the universe. In this visual exploration, see light, and our Universe, like never before. From radio waves to infrared light to X-rays, discover the important ways that light illuminates and impacts life on Earth and well beyond. Learn about the beauty of the science of light. Led by Kimberly Kowal Arcand, Ph.D., the Visualization Scientist & Emerging Tech Lead for NASA’s Chandra X-Ray Observatory, which has its headquarters at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge. Arcand has co-written seven popular science books, including Light: The Visible Spectrum and Beyond and Light from the Void: Twenty Years of Discovery with NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory.
