**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

Are you a writer -- or an aspiring writer -- looking for some support? The Tewksbury Writing Group is open to everyone who's interested in writing -- all genres, all skill levels. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- features a guest speaker (typically a published author or editor) offering some tips of the trade.

The April 2024 guest speaker is author Kurt Springs. Kurt is presently an adjunct professor teaching anthropology, archaeology, and geography in New Hampshire. He holds a PhD. in anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Literature in archaeology from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a Master of Liberal Arts in anthropology and archaeology from the Harvard University Extension School. His main area of interest is megalithic landscapes in prehistoric Ireland. Kurt is a longtime fan of the late Andre Norton, and the psychic elements of his stories are inspired by her science fiction, which heavily featured ESP powers. He is the author of the sci-fi series, Dreamscape Warriors, which includes Price of Vengeance, Legacy of Valor, and Promise of Mercy. Learn more about Springs and his work at www.kurtsprings.com.

The group is facilitated by author Dale T. Phillips, a New England writer, who spent his formative years in Maine, and has lived and worked in a number of different places. He graduated from the University of Maine, studied writing with Stephen King, and has worked for over thirty years as a Technical Writer in a number of major industries, translating the work of software developers into clear instructions for using computer software. Dale has published novels, over 70 short stories, collections, articles, jokes, and poetry, and has appeared on stage, television, and in an independent feature film. He has also appeared on two nationally televised quiz shows, "Jeopardy" and "Think Twice." Dale co-wrote and acted in a short political satire film, "The Nine." He has traveled to all 50 states and a number of countries, spanning half the globe, from Hawaii to Greece, and now lives with his family in Massachusetts.
