Are you a writer -- or an aspiring writer -- looking for some support? The new Tewksbury Writing Group, which generally meets the third Monday evening of every month, is open to everyone who's interested in writing -- all genres, all skill levels. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- features a guest speaker (typically a published author or editor) offering some tips of the trade.

The January 2023 guest speaker is KD Mason. A lifelong runner and sailor, K.D. Mason lives on the New Hampshire seacoast with his wife of over 50 years and two cats, Molly and Sweet Pea. They have two grown children, a son who lives in Las Vegas with his wife and step daughter, and a daughter who with her husband and their daughter now live in California. Recently retired from a lifetime of working in the restaurant business, he now weaves compelling tales of mystery, romance and suspense set on the New Hampshire Seacoast. Years of sailing in the Caribbean and New England as well as hanging out with an active running community have given him a wealth of story ideas. He is the author of the Jack Beale Mystery series, with the 12th book in the series (Cruelty Exposed) published in June 2022. Learn more about Mason HERE.

The group is facilitated by author Dale T. Phillips, who has published novels, story collections, non-fiction, and over 70 short stories. Stephen King was Dale's college writing teacher. Dale has found time to appear on stage, television, radio, in an independent feature film, and compete on Jeopardy (losing in a spectacular fashion). He's a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Sisters in Crime.
