Are you a writer -- or an aspiring writer -- looking for some support? The Tewksbury Writing Group, which generally meets the fourth Monday evening of every month, is open to everyone who's interested in writing -- all genres, all skill levels. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- features a guest speaker (typically a published author or editor) offering some tips of the trade.

The August 2023 guest speaker is author Adelene Ellenberg. Adelene Ellenberg’s newest psychological thriller, The Killer’s Kid, continues the story begun in Eminent Crimes: A Legal Thriller. As an attorney, Ellenberg worked in the private sector, and has performed substantial “pro bono” work for the community and individuals. She saw how “The Law” can be either a shield or a weapon, and the weak need protection from the strong. As a writer, Ellenberg found inspiration in the lives of the many people she meets from all walks of life. She lives with her husband in rural Massachusetts, along with their cat, llama, and goat.

The group is facilitated by author Dale T. Phillips, who has published novels, over 80 short stories, collections, poetry, and non-fiction. Stephen King was Dale's college writing teacher. Dale has found time to appear on stage, television, radio, in an independent feature film, and compete on Jeopardy (losing in a spectacular fashion). He's a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Sisters in Crime. Dale has traveled to all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and through Europe. Learn more about Dale HERE.
