**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

The Tewksbury Genealogy Group is open to everyone who's interested in genealogy. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- consists of a presentation from a guest speaker (typically a professional genealogist), followed by a period where members can briefly share their latest genealogy research, and then the library will share a genealogy resource its patrons can access for free.

The April 2022 meeting will feature Irish Genealogist Michael Brophy's presentation, "Shamrocks In Cyberspace: Irish Genealogy Databases." Information about our Irish ancestors is exploding on the internet. The best websites for Irish research will be explored and analyzed. Recent, landmark additions of Catholic Church records and vital records will be presented. Finding aids for further Irish research will be assessed and critiqued in this exciting lecture on all that has happened with Irish resources in cyberspace.

Michael Brophy is a nationally known, professional genealogical researcher, heir search specialist, and lecturer from the Boston area. He's currently the Vice President of the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG) and the first Treasurer of the New England of Association of Professional Genealogists. Brophy earned an MBA degree from Suffolk University and a BBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He was featured on the TV series "Who Do You Think You Are? "and the Irish TV series Dead Money, a genealogy show about heir searchers.  Brophy has been hired to conduct research for Ancestry.com and several historical authors. He has lectured on a wide variety of genealogy subjects at the National Genealogy Society’s Annual Conference and The Institute of Genealogy and Historic Research (IGHR), specializing in New England and Irish genealogy subjects.
