Monday, August 87:00—8:30 PMOnlineTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

The Tewksbury Genealogy Group is open to everyone who's interested in genealogy. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- consists of a presentation from a guest speaker (typically a professional genealogist), followed by a period where members can briefly share their latest genealogy research, and then the library will share a genealogy resource its patrons can access for free.

The month's featured presentation is "Creative Ways For Solving Genealogy Road Blocks" with Carol P. McCoy. Have you hit the proverbial road block in your genealogical research? Is an ancestor or two eluding you? This workshop will help you learn crafty ways to succeed in finding new evidence and avoid common pitfalls. Learn some solid strategies and ways to take a fresh look at what you’ve tried and what else you can do to find those pesky hidden ancestors. Please feel free to bring a problem for us to discuss and to bring your lap top computer to class if you have one. Led by Dr. Carol McCoy, President of Find-Your-Roots in Brunswick, Maine has been tracing her family history for over 30 years. Prior to starting her own genealogy business in 2001 and her training consulting business in 1999, she worked as a training director for UNUM in Portland, Maine. Dr. McCoy has formerly served as President of the Maine Genealogical Society (MGS), as a Director for MGS, and as President of the Greater Portland Chapter of MGS. Dr. McCoy has given genealogical talks for the New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC), the Maine Genealogical Society (MGS) Conference, and for other groups.
