There’s been a lot of attention paid to female comics fans in the last few years, but the truth is women have always been part of superhero storytelling. Explore the importance of female heroes and the women who brought them to life in the larger history of American superhero comics with "Geek Gal" Sara Hodge-Weatherbee in her popular presentation, "Wonder Women, Super Girls, and Villainous Vixens." An aspiring librarian, Sara considers herself a card carrying geek and has lectured on various aspects of geek culture across New England. She has also staffed many conventions, including a three-year stint as head of guest relations at Anime Boston. Learn more about Sara HERE.
