Did you know there are FIVE other Tewksbury communities in the world? We're going to try to spotlight all of them over the next six months!
Learn about our town's namesake. Tewksbury, Massachusetts is believed to have been named after the Earl of Tewkesbury, a member of the British Government. (There is, however, some disagreement around this.) John Dixon, President of the Tewkesbury (England) Historical Society, will give a presentation -- from across the pond -- about the history of HIS Tewkesbury. From the Tewkesbury Abbey (which celebrates its 900th anniversary next year) to the Battle of the Roses to Tewkesbury mustard, get to know our unofficial "sister community." Learn more about the Tewkesbury Historical Society HERE. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
