Congratulations, you just received a job offer! If you are like most people, you accepted the offer almost immediately -- and left money on the table. While most companies expect prospects to negotiate, most people are afraid to. Come join us to discuss what happens after they offer you the job. You'll learn when to negotiate; what to negotiate; how to act; and the three things you need to negotiate successfully. Led by Ed Lawrence, founder and principal of Getstart-ed, through which he offers practical job-search advice, résumé-writing services, and skills assessments to help people gain meaningful employment or transition to a new career. A certified technical trainer (Comptia CTT+) for over thirty years, Lawrence transitioned to coaching and soft-skills training by studying under some of the area’s best counselors, and by volunteering with agencies, such as The Institute for Career Transitions and Career Collaborative. He is a certified professional résumé writer (CPRW), nationally certified online profile expert (NCOPE), and is certified in Myers-Briggs (MBTI), DISC and Skillscan. For over four years he has facilitated a free practice-interview group at the Framingham Public Library for job seekers. Learn more about Lawrence HERE.
