**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

The new Tewksbury Genealogy Group, which generally meets the fourth Tuesday evening of every month, is open to everyone who's interested in genealogy. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- consists of a presentation from a guest speaker (typically a professional genealogist), followed by a period where members can briefly share their latest genealogy research, and then the library will share a genealogy resource its patrons can access for free.

The presentation for the December 29 meeting is "Introduction To Jewish Genealogy" with Carol Clingan. Join us to explore the major records and sources with which you can start working on your Jewish genealogy and discover many online tools that can help you. Carol Clingan has been an avid genealogist for almost 30 years. She has traced each of her grandparents’ families to the early 19th century in the Former Soviet Union, and has done extensive research for relatives and friends. She loves to talk to people and get them excited about genealogy, and teaches in a variety of settings. Carol is head of research projects for the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston, and has been a member of the Board for 20 years. She's also an Advisory Board member of the Jewish Heritage Center.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
