**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

The Tewksbury Genealogy Group, which generally meets the fourth Tuesday evening of every month, is open to everyone who's interested in genealogy. Each meeting -- which will take place via Zoom -- consists of a presentation from a guest speaker (typically a professional genealogist), followed by a period where members can briefly share their latest genealogy research, and then the library will share a genealogy resource its patrons can access for free.

The presentation for the June meeting is Raising the Dead: Finding Clues to Ancestors from Headstones, Family Plots, and Burial Records. When they survive, headstones can offer important clues to understanding the lives of those who came before us. Join New England Historic Genealogical Society's Chief Genealogist David Allen Lambert, author of "A Guide to Massachusetts Cemeteries," to learn how these memorials -- from the type of the stone used to the carvings to the position of the family plot to the burial documents left behind -- can shed new light on your ancestor’s life.

Register directly on Zoom HEREPlease note this meeting starts at 7:30pm, not the normal 7pm. It will end at 8:45pm. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library with funds from the Corning Foundation.

Registration required via Zoom link.
