Join Professor Laura E. Nym Mayhall for a talk on Queen Elizabeth II's legacy in light of her 70 years on the throne. An Associate Professor of History at the Catholic University of America, Dr. Mayhall is the author of The Militant Suffrage Movement: Citizenship and Resistance in Britain, 1860-1930, and co-editor of Women's Suffrage in the British Empire: Citizenship, Nation and Race. She is currently working on book entitled Aristocracy Must Advertise: Rebranding Privilege in Britain, 1880-1950. Dr. Mayhall teaches graduate courses on the history of the British Empire and on nineteenth- and twentieth-century British political culture, and undergraduate courses on the history of London, British film, and the First and Second World Wars.
