Retired Tewksbury Memorial High School history teacher Robert MacDougall will discuss his new book, "The Agitator and the Politician." Learn about the lives of the two men who were central figures in the emancipation of the slaves in the United States -- William Lloyd Garrison, a radical abolitionist, and President Abraham Lincoln, a conservative politician. The book was recently featured in the Tewksbury Town Crier HERE.

About Robert: Robert MacDougall has taught American history at the high school and college level for almost fifty years, including at Tewksbury Memorial High School from 1971 to 2004. He is the author of three books, including "American History: It's More Than The Crap You Learned In High School" and "Leaders In Dangerous Times: Douglas W. MacArthur & Dwight D. Eisenhower." Besides writing, Robert is an avid runner. He has run the Boston Marathon six times (best time: 2:46) and coached track and cross country for most of his teaching career.
