Join Barbara Buls - of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (Mass DCR) - as she discusses all that there is to do at Massachusetts State Parks. With 460,000 acres of land and 440 parks and properties, Massachusetts has one of the largest state park systems in the country. Buls will give a multimedia presentation highlighting many of these parks across the Commonwealth, with particular attention paid to parks in the Greater Tewksbury area. State parks have so much to offer - swimming, camping, hiking, walking, bike riding, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, sailing, wind surfing, rock climbing, skiing, golfing and many other outdoor activities. Parks also provide opportunities for picnics, outdoor performances, areas to rent for company or family gatherings, historic sites, skating rinks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and much, much more. Come discover things you never know about our state parks! Sponsored by the Tewksbury Open Space and Recreation Committee and the Friends of the Tewksbury Library.
