Prolific baseball writer and editor Bill Nowlin will discuss his new book, "Working A Perfect Game: Conversations With Umpires." Over the course of four years, Nowlin interviewed 72 major league umpires, another two dozen call-up and AAA umpires, and four umpire supervisors. The result is the most complete and intimate portrait ever done of a vitally important yet largely unappreciated aspect of professional baseball.

About Bill: Bill Nowlin is the author & editor of nearly 100 books, most about baseball, including "Red Sox vs. Yankees: Hometown Experts Analyze, Debate, and Illuminate Baseball's Ultimate Rivalry, "Red Sox by the Numbers" and "Fenway Park at 100." In 2004, he was elected vice president of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and remains on the Board of Directors. Bill lives in Cambridge and misses his Red Sox -- he typically attends 50 or so games a year.
