“A Commonwealth Watch Party and Community Conversation" will begin with a watch party featuring a pre-recorded video with Isabel Wilkerson, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. Caste examines the unspoken caste system that has shaped America and shows how our lives today are still defined by a hierarchy of human divisions. Wilkerson's video will be followed by a live community conversation led by former Massachusetts State Representative Byron Rushing and Salem State Professor Roopika Risam.
