Watch a video to show you how to make some really cool crafts! Every week we will post a new fun tutorial aimed at ages 5-11. Check our Facebook or YouTube page to see the link.

This week, we will be learning how to make Fire Breathing Dragons! Facebook.com/TewksburyLib | youtube.com/TewksburyLibrary

Suggested materials:

  • Cardboard tube
  • Colored paper OR something to color with (markers, crayons, etc)
  • Glue / Tape
  • Tissue paper OR crepe paper (red/yellow/orange)
  • Pom poms (optional)
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Scissors

Bags of supplies (tubes, construction paper, crepe paper, pom poms, googly eyes) will be outside the library on Friday, 8/7 at 10AM, and are first come, first served. If you aren’t able to get a bag, don’t worry! We try to use materials that you already have or can easily get.

If your child has made one of Miss Heather's Maker Crafts, we would like to hear from you! We are hoping to make a slideshow of photos of all of the great crafts you have made this summer! You can submit pictures of just the craft, or of your child and their creations. Email photos to Heather at hmaganzini@tewksburypl.org. Names & ages of the child crafter are optional--whatever you are most comfortable with sharing. We can't wait to see what you've made! Please send in your pictures by Monday, August 31. Thank you!
