For years, companies have focused on the hard skills -- the know-how to perform your work. Although these skills are still important, they’re realizing that simply knowing how to do your job isn’t enough. They’re looking for soft skills -- those interpersonal skills that help us get things done in our jobs -- and these skills are popping up on more job announcements. What are the most in-demand soft skills for 2023? Learn about the top five soft skills you need and how to hone them. Led by Cheryl Landes, a full-time freelance technical communications consultant who lives in Vancouver, Washington, on the north bank of the Columbia River. For more than 30 years, she has worked with clients and regular employers writing technical manuals, digital content, training materials, and marketing pieces. Her work brings her to Massachusetts often, and she even lived there full-time for five years while working at Phoenix Controls Corporation in Acton. Cheryl makes frequent appearances at job seeking groups in New England sharing tips on her lessons learned while seeking work. Cheryl is also the author of five books on Northwest travel and history and findability. Her latest book, The Best I Can Do, a memoir about navigating the complexities of her late husband’s mental illness, will be published in 2023.
