Learn why birding is so popular; review basic information every new birder should know to get started; receive an outline a method for working through the identification process most effectively; understand why a sense of place and time is so important; and discover the many aids to bird identification, both physical and behavioral. Led by Bill Gette, Founding Director of Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport, who has over 30 years of experience leading groups to exciting local, domestic, and international destinations. He has visited all seven continents, led groups on over 50 international travel programs, and conducted hundreds of field trips locally and throughout the United States.
