Author David Kruh will offer a presentation based on his new book, Inseparable, in this ZOOM webinar. It is one of America's most enduring mysteries -- what happened to three inmates who, 60 years ago in June 1962, escaped from the Alcatraz Prison in a raft they constructed inside the prison? In his talk, Kruh will talk about the exciting true story of the planning and execution of the escape, which was also the inspiration for his debut novel.

About The Book: David's most recent book, Inseparable, is based on the June 1962 escape by three inmates from Alcatraz in a homemade raft. Two of the escapees land on a beach near Sausalito. They are found by an independent-minded 13-year-old boy who decides to help them to freedom. In this fast-paced adventure, they must evade the authorities, the media, and the boy’s mother.

About The Author: David Kruh is the published author of several books on Boston history, including Building Route 128 and Scollay Square, and the co-author, with his father Louis, on a book about presidential homes and landmarks. A frequent contributor to the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and History Magazine, David is also a published and produced playwright, and a popular lecturer on a variety of historical subjects.
