On September 5th 1995, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke at the 4th United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing, China. Her speech included the memorable phrase “Human Rights are Women’s Rights and Women’s Rights are Human Rights.” This program will examine her rhetoric and the behind the scenes speechwriting process through records from the Clinton Administration. Led by Kathleen Pate, Education Specialist for the Bill Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.
