Long distance hiker Arlette Laan, of Lowell, recently became the first woman -- and sixth person ever -- to traverse all of our country's National Scenic Trails, a 17,830-mile feat that took her nearly two decades to complete. Laan will present highlights of her adventures from all 11 trails: Appalachian National Scenic Trail; Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail; Continental Divide National Scenic Trail; North Country National Scenic Trail; Ice Age National Scenic Trail; Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail; Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail; Florida National Scenic Trail; Arizona National Scenic Trail; New England National Scenic Trail; and Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail.
