The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) runs 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada along the spine of the Rockies through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. It, along with the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails, comprise the Triple Crown of long-distance hiking. In April of 2022, Massachusetts resident Jim Klumpp left the Mexican border, looking to complete the CDT, and with it the Triple Crown. For four and a half months, Jim encountered blazing heat, gale-force winds, afternoon thunderstorms, treacherous snow fields, and a wide variety of wildlife while making his way north toward Canada. Finally, in early September, he reached the CDT's northern terminus along the shore of Waterton Lake. In this presentation, Jim will bring you on his epic adventure through pictures he took along the way.
