The daughter of one of Massachusetts’s most notorious Tories during the Revolutionary War period, Bathsheba Spooner, sought her own peace accord between two British soldiers and her teenaged Continental-Army lover -- an agreement to murder her husband, that is! Explore the first death penalty case in our country's history. Led by historical lecturer Gregory Williams, who was a District Court judge for many years, retiring as the First Justice of the Edgartown District Court in Dukes County in 2015.
