**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email.**

Examine Vincent van Gogh’s life, character and spiritual emptiness in the period that followed the most exciting time in history; when worldviews were eternally changed by the renaissance, the protestant and catholic reformation, the scientific revolution and the period of enlightenment. Most importantly, explore his most famous painting, Starry Night, and his emotional, philosophical, scientific insights and theological beliefs behind this painting. Additionally, look at several of his other paintings along with Hubble photos of the cosmos, that when shown with expressive thought, bring incredible insight into the relationship between art, faith, reason and nature. Led by Scott Flaig, author of Cosmology: Faith and Science Reveal Universal Truth and Pillars of Creation: How Faith, Science and Reason Bring Meaning to the Universe. Flaig, a retired corporate executive from Dell and former faculty instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University, now lectures regularly about the mysteries of the universe at libraries, community organizations, churches, universities and science societies.
