Boston's many statues provide insight into the city’s history and identity. These monuments are a part of the city’s cultural heritage and together form a rich tapestry of Boston’s past. Explore some of Boston’s most famous (and not so famous) statues to see what they tell us. Led by local photographer and art/history enthusiast Bruce Magnuson, who has exhibited his photography in many solo, group and juried shows across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Magnuson, who is a member of several local photography organizations, studied his craft at the Griffin Museum of Photography, the New England School of Photography, the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, the Art Institute of Boston and the Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
