Travel to Shanghai, which -- in the past 30 years -- has seen an amazing amount of building and modernization. Take a lot at its modern metro, which is now the longest in the world. View the very modern as well as traditional Chinese style buildings. See the colonial European buildings in the former concession areas. Residential high rise building complexes have replaced the traditional lane houses. Upscale shopping malls are pervasive. Explore what’s happening in modern Shanghai. Led by retired high school teacher Sheila Taub, who now presents illustrated talks on her travels at libraries, senior centers, community centers and cruise ships.
