Travel to Chongqing, a large city in China with a long history. (The name Chongqing means double-blessed since Chongqing is intersected by the Jialing River and the Yangtze River.)  Like other cities in China, it is clean and modern. View the beautiful gleaming skyscrapers, luxury shopping malls and the above ground monorail metro system. The city is known for spicy hot pot dishes. See the pandas and their cubs at the Chongqing zoo. Visit temples and pagodas along the river. Explore the Three Gorges Dam one of the great wonders of modern human history. Led by retired high school teacher Sheila Taub, who now presents illustrated talks on her travels at libraries, senior centers, community centers and cruise ships.
