Sara Delano Roosevelt, mother of our 32nd President, is often portrayed as a stern, domineering and cheerless matriarch. But there was another side to her. Learn how Sara Roosevelt’s parenting style prepared FDR for the Presidency. Discover how FDR was able to “play” his mother. Examine why Sara Roosevelt was cast as such a dour person. Led by Jeffrey Urbin, Education Specialist at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
