Learn about the history and culture of the Pawtucket and Pennacook peoples – the first residents of the Merrimack Valley and Essex County. Participants will have the opportunity to examine real artifacts from the Luce Archaeology Collection. Led by Thomas Spitalere, a local historian and supervisor with the Buttonwoods Museum. The mission of the Buttonwoods Museum is to collect and preserve history, and to educate the community about Greater Haverhill's past and culture.
