Follow a river cruise that begins in Amsterdam and visits five different areas of the Netherlands and Belgium. Learn about the history and geography of these low countries. Then explore windmills, the world’s largest tulip festival, the art of Rubens and Rembrandt, and wonderful chocolate vendors. Led by Gene Flynn, an Illinois native, who has taught at the College of Lake County and Harper College, and serves on the board of the Institute for Continued Learning at Roosevelt University. He frequently gives travel presentations to libraries and senior centers around the country, and articles about his travel have been published in the Illinois Geographer, the publication of the Illinois Geographical Society.
