Superman. Batman. Spiderman. Wonder Woman. And the list goes on...! There is something amazing about a genre that spans generations, media formats from comics to TV to cinema, and incarnations that are out of this world. Whether it is the sense of childlike wonder, the thrill of the action, the need for someone to believe in, or the really cool costumes, superheroes have appealed to hundreds of thousands of fans from one century to the next. Hear about a sampling of these superheroes and all of their incarnations over the decades!  Led by Frank Mandosa, a film historian and high school Film and English teacher. Mandosa -- host of the podcasts "Silver Screeners" and "Movies Across The Pod" -- has been giving film lectures at libraries, senior centers, and community centers across the state since 2012.
