Greece is the "cradle of democracy" and its influence on Western Civilization is vast. This presentation -- delivered by travel photographer Bruce Magnuson -- will provide some historical and current context on this fascinating and complicated country. Visit the capital, Athens, as well as the center of the ancient Greek world, Delphi, and one of Europe's oldest civilizations on the island of Crete. In addition, the presenter's daughter is on a 10-month Fulbright fellowship in Athens, so some background on that program and many photographs from two recent trips will round out the presentation.
