**THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED**

Although the threat remains low in Massachusetts and there are no confirmed cases in Tewksbury we continue to monitor closely the emergence of the “coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19). At this time, no one knows how severe this outbreak will be. In order to protect all of our visitors and in accordance with the Governor’s State of Emergency, the Town Manager has cancelled all events and uses of the meeting rooms (First Floor and Trustees’ Room on the Second Floor) at the Tewksbury Public Library until further notice. The library is open for all other business and is happy to serve your research, reading, viewing and informational needs.

Are you a writer -- or an aspiring writer -- looking for some support? The new Tewksbury Writing Group is open to everyone who's interested in writing -- all genres, all skill levels. Each meeting consists of some conversation, followed by a period of reading & friendly critiquing, and then a guest speaker (typically a published author) offering some tips of the trade. The group is facilitated by author Dale T. Phillips, who has published novels, story collections, non-fiction, and over 70 short stories. Stephen King was Dale's college writing teacher, and since then, Dale has found time to appear on stage, television, radio, in an independent feature film, and compete on Jeopardy (losing in a spectacular fashion). He's a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Sisters in Crime.

The Tewksbury Writing Group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month, from 7pm to 8:45pm, in the Tewksbury Public Library's second-floor Trustees Room. Registration is highly recommended for planning purposes. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Registration for this event has now closed.
