TEWKSBURY JOB SEEKERS NETWORK: Legal Rights During The Interview & Application Process

Monday, September 232:00—3:30 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

Learn what your legal rights are during the interview process, including your rights related to disabilities and reasonable accommodations. What can - or can't - an employer legally ask? What are your options if an employer engages in an unlawful line of questioning? What are your legal remedies if your rights are violated? Led by Melissa Pomfred, principal at Pomfred Law Offices, PLLC, where she advises and represents employees in every aspect of the employment relationship from hire through separation, and if necessary, through litigation. Prior to starting Pomfred Law Offices, Melissa spent nine years working at legal aid in Central and Western Massachusetts fighting for the rights of employees. She received her J.D from the University of Connecticut School of Law, a Masters of Ed. from Boston University and a double-degree from UMASS at Amherst. There will be plenty of time for networking after the presentation. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
