It is said repeatedly that the way to access the hidden job market is through networking. And it is true that getting a job involves who you know as much as what you know. But what if you hate networking? What do you talk about? What do you do afterwards? What if there is a different way to network? What if you can showcase your skills while doing good? And be able to answer the question of "What have you been doing in between jobs?" Jack Wang will discussing networking in general, but specifically how skills based volunteering can be a great way to network while showcasing your skills that can help lead to your next opportunity! Wang, a financial coach with Longhorn Financial, is the former Program Site Director for Jericho Road Project of Greater Lowell. There will be plenty of time for networking after the presentation.
