TEWKSBURY JOB SEEKERS NETWORK: How To Make Age Invisible

Monday, December 92:00—3:30 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

Age can influence hiring decisions in subtle and often undisclosed ways. This interactive talk and discussion will describe what a job seeker can do to minimize or eliminate the influence of age. Discuss the many ways a job seeker can improve his or her personal presentation to appear less "old." Learn how unconscious habitual "old" behaviors can have a huge negative effect on any decision to hire.

Led by Randall Warniers, freelance editor, book designer and book publisher who spent nearly two decades in the world of publishing as managing editor of a research journal at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He is also a photographer and a photography instructor at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, an instructor in 19th-century British literature at Acton-Boxborough Community Education, and a facilitator and member of the leadership team at Acton Networkers.

There will be plenty of time for networking after the presentation. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
