The Tewksbury Community Market, located on the front lawn of the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street), is open this Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm.

This week's featured vendors include Jones Farm, Tewksbury Honey, Sweet Lydia's, Fudge 'N Stuff, Tewksbury Florist & Greenery, Peacock Chalk, the Nana Bee (market debut), KC Styles, Scents Delivered, and Usborne Books, plus the Tewksbury Public Library Community Garden. The Market will continue to grow in vendors as the season moves on.

The Kona Ice Truck will be on site selling deliciously flavored Hawaiian shaved ice.

Paula Castner will be discussing healthy and allergen free baking at 7pm in the library's Meeting Room. Are you thinking that now is the time to begin eating healthier, but you don't want to give up those desserts you really enjoy? Do food allergies or dietary restrictions prevent your family members from enjoying the sweets they crave? Would you like to know how to adapt your favorite baked recipes to accommodate almost any food need you and your family have? Come learn the "secrets" to substituting ingredients in recipes to create desserts which not only are healthier for you, but delicious tasting too. Castner has almost forty years of familiarity with food allergies and almost twenty years of experience with hypoglycemic and diabetic requirements. Unwilling to give up the treats she likes to eat, she has spent years discovering and perfecting the best ways to make cakes, cookies, breads, and more which meet a variety of dietary needs but also satisfy the desire for something tasty and sweet. Samples and handouts will be provided.

Miss Heather, of the library's Children's Room, will hold a drop-in Night Time Craft for little ones from 6:30pm to 7:30pm the library's Craft Room.

Learn about Community Teamwork at the market's Community Table this week. The Tewksbury DPW will also be present to educate residents on stormwater management.

The Market will be open on Tuesdays through the end of September.
