SAVE A LIFE: Stop The Bleed Training

Stop The Bleed is a national initiative designed to teach bleeding control techniques in response to a mass casualty or active shooter event. This training seeks to empower the public to provide emergency care as immediate responders. Attendees will learn the proper use of tourniquets, direct pressure and wound packing for life threatening bleeding. This program includes both a didactic as well as a hands-on practical application of the bleeding control tools. Led by Sandi Mackey, MSN, RN, TCRN, Trauma Program Manager at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. Limited to 25 seats. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
