Discover the history of how people with disabilities and mental illness were treated in the Commonwealth, and then explore, through photographs, their final resting places, with a focus on the cemeteries of two state institutions in Massachusetts -- the Walter E. Fernald State School and the Tewksbury State Hospital. Led by Ashyln Rickord, historian and board member of the Public Health Museum.
