OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES: A Tribute To Johnny Cash with Counterfeit Cash
Monday, July 226:30—8:00 PMEvent LawnTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876
Enjoy a concert from the premiere Johnny Cash tribute band, Counterfeit Cash. Influenced by Johnny Cash in his younger years while listening to the great lyrics of the "Man in Black" and the story that they told, lead singer Rodney Brunelle – with his Johnny Cash voice – made it his mission in life to keep the stories of Johnny Cash going. The band performs the songs that "The Man In Black" made famous, including “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Ring of Fire,” “Hurt,” “Big River,” and many more. If you close your eyes, you’ll swear you’re listening to Johnny Cash. Country legend Hank Williams Jr. will also be on hand to perform a few of his own hits. Learn more about Counterfeit Cash HERE.
No registration required. This concert will take place on the library's back lawn. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled. This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Tewksbury Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. To supplement the cost of next year's concerts, the Friends of the Library will be selling raffle tickets and accepting donations at a table near the stage.
