This program will take place online via ZOOM. Please email Noelle at nboc@tewksburypl.org to receive an invitation to join the online discussion.

Join us for a discussion of King Leopold's Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa by Adam Hochschild. A colorful, provocative study of King Leopold II of Belgium's genocidal plunder of the Congo in the 1880s, as the European powers were colonizing Africa, reveals the heroic efforts that led to the first international human rights movement. Books will be available at the reference desk one month before the meeting.
