Kids Performer: Origami Storigami!

Tuesday, July 192:00—3:00 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876

Every Tuesday, we will have a different performer, just for you! This week, we have Motoko visiting us to show us Origami Storigamil!

The program will start with Motoko’s performance of Japanese fables. In series of age-appropriate activities, she will teach how to make origami animals, and techniques for making ‘fold-along’ tales, in which a piece of paper is reused and transformed multiple times to represent different characters and objects. She will explain history and cultural symbolism of origami, and participants will take home their creations.

This program is supported by a grant from the Tewksbury Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. This program is also supported by the Friends of the Tewksbury Library.
