IN PERSON TEEN EVENT: Henna Alchemy (Grades 6-12)
Wednesday, November 83:30—5:30 PMMeeting RoomTewksbury Public Library300 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, MA, 01876
In this workshop, participants will get a brief education about the history and culture of henna with Mandy Roberge before we get to work making our own paste using various ingredients. We will also come to learn how to recognize chemical henna and understand its dangers, as we come to understand why making fresh, natural henna is critical to public safety. All patrons will receive a link to a video helping them to check for dye release and get the paste into cones when they are ready the following day. The end of the workshop includes henna designs for everyone!
