It's the social event of the week! Come learn about the history of antique fans. See 100 antique hand fans from the 18th & 19th century, up close and personal. Explore different materials used for this art including mother of pearl, bone, ivory, & celluloid. Have an antique hand fan at home? Bring it for identification. Led by Shelly J. Goncalves, who has been collecting antique hand fans for over 50 years. Goncalves is a member of the Fan Association of North America (FANA) and the Fan Circle International (FCI), where she serves on the board. Light refreshments will be served.
