Bestselling author Paul C. Clerici will share stories about the iconic Boston Marathon in this popular multimedia presentation. Come learn about the history and iconic traditions of America's most famous road race. First run in 1897 -- making it America's second marathon and the world's fourth marathon -- the Boston Marathon attracts tens of thousands runners annually thanks to its long and unique history. Clerici has written extensively about the race, publishing three books: Boston Marathon: History by the Mile, Images of Modern America: The Boston Marathon, and the newly released Boston Marathon Traditions and Lore. A race director and former coach, Clerici has run the Boston Marathon for 23 consecutive years.  Autographed copies of Clerici's books will be available for purchase after the event for anyone interested.
