IN PERSON: A History of New England Desserts

Cooking instructor Tammy Donroe Inman, award-winning author of New England Desserts: Classic and Creative Recipes for All Seasons, will discuss her favorite desserts that originated in Massachusetts, the stories behind them, and the pleasures of seasonal baking. A graduate of Tufts University and the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Inman sharpened her knives in the test kitchen of Cook's Illustrated magazine and the PBS television show America's Test Kitchen. She then worked as a writer and editor for Boston magazine. Inman's work has also been featured in Fine Cooking, Parents, Yankee Magazine, and more. She is the author of three books and wrote the popular food blog Food on the FoodNew England Desserts was named 2022 New England Book of the Year by Readable Feast, New England's premier culinary book festival. Samples from the cookbook will be provided.  After the event, signed copies of New England Desserts will be available for purchase to anyone interested.
